‘Jack Reusen and the Fey Flame’ is book one of the Jack Reusen series and is OUT NOW on Kindle, it was a 2014 ‘NaNoWriMo’ (National Novel Writing Month) winner and two more titles will be released in 2015. There is a dedicated website and blog for Jack’s adventures and I’d be more than happy if you’d be good enough to leave a comment or two (even just to say ‘hello’) if you find your way over there:
In ‘Jack Reusen and the Fey Flame’: Jack discovers that the world he knows (the ‘matter-world’) shares it’s space with something much stranger. A chance event in a forest near Jack’s home opens his eyes to the world of ‘Fey’: a place filled with magic, enchantments, shape-changing people, and creatures unlike anything Jack has seen before.
In this first book in the series, Jack is unwittingly responsible for tearing great holes between the two worlds. There are many surprises in store from the other side and a couple closer to home as well.
Print copies are available from Fun Junction in Perth and Crieff, Perthshire, Scotland.

I have also written a book on philosophy, tying together my MPhil thesis with some earlier research:
‘Living The Good Life in a Modern World’ tries to assess what makes a person’s life ‘good’. The book investigates the nature of human thriving and considers the impact which having a disability can have on one’s ability to thrive. The key topic addressed in this book is the nature of a good life and it presents arguments to explain how anyone, regardless of individual differences, can strive to be the best that they can be.
I consider these topics in the lightest possible manner, whilst taking these issues seriously. Chapters have intentionally been kept short to allow them to be read by anyone, regardless of how busy their schedule. I aimed for a lunch break reading time, meaning it shouldn’t take longer than about twenty minutes to half an hour per chapter.
It’s available on kindle from Amazon (in English only) in the UK, the USA, Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Japan, India, Canada and Brazil. If you choose to get yourself a copy (or even just read a sample) I hope you enjoy it and I hope you take the time to tell me what you think.
A paper edition is also available for £5.99, please contact me if you would prefer this option. Cheers, John
